This Uniden DFR6 replaces the Uniden LRD-850. For its price range, the Uniden DFR6 offers a lot of value for the money. Testing so far the Uniden DFR6 has surprised everyone with it sensitivity and this Uniden is often being compared to radar detectors that cost more than double its price from other manufacturers.

The Uniden DFR3 detects emissions from Radar Guns and sounds an audio alert for the driver. The detector determines which band range the signal is from and displays that Frequency type on the display (x, K, KA, or L). the Frequency strength (1 through 5) also displays as applicable. If there is a specific alert code, that is also displayed. The DFR3 utilizes two different modes for highway or City use.

Review of the Uniden DFR3

Cannot beat this detector for its value vs performance ratio, performs better than my Whistler Pro 78SE against constant on Radar and Instant-on Radar. The detector is short on features and seems very simplistic, however, the range is very good for its price. The range compares well to RX65M4 and other M4 platforms on Highway mode. Great detector for those who spend no more than 10 MPH above the posted speed limit. Good buy, hope the electronics inside last!
