D.O.T. – COMPETITION DRAG RADIAL

A D.O.T.-compliant competition drag radial designed with additional flexibility for the weekend drag racer. The NT555R combines a high-grip compound and semi-racing construction to provide increased traction at the starting line. The tire comes molded at 6/32 of an inch and features a unique reinforced belt package to provide improved traction and high-speed stability. The NT555R is the performance radial for the street or strip.

COMPETITION PERFORMANCE

The overall construction has been modified to improve launch performance. The NT555R is designed to achieve a balance between maximum dry performance and occasional street use.

HIGH-SPEED STABILITY

Semi-radial construction combined with a unique reinforced package helps provide stability at high track speeds.

CONSISTENCY

The tread compound is formulated to achieve a balance between treadwear and drag strip performance. The compound is formulated to be less sensitive to heat degradation and to retain its performance throughout the life of the tire. The compound working temperature was widened to work under a broader range of track temperatures.
