The Pioneer ND-DVR100 dash cam comes with everything you need. When the engine is started, the camera starts loop-recording in 1080p at 27.5 frames per second, and it goes to sleep when the engine is turned off. Use the adhesive-backed mount to secure the ND-DVR100 to your windshield, and Pioneer includes a vehicle charger. You’re all set to go!

How the ND-DVR100 Functions

When powered on, the ND-DVR100 automatically starts recording video in a continuous loop on the included 8GB microSD card. If the ND-built-in DVR100’s G-sensor detects an impact incident (such as a collision while driving or a bump while parked). A video file of the incident is saved in an Event folder to prevent overwriting and to allow later access to the video. When the driver is safely parked, video clips can be viewed directly on the camera’s display or from the microSD card, and stored files can be easily transferred to an external device or computer.

The dashboard camera records 1080p HD video at 27.5 fps (frames per second) and has a wide aperture lens for high-quality recordings and still photos in both daylight and low light conditions. The frame rate of 27.5 frames per second was chosen specifically to accurately capture LED traffic lights, which frequently operate at 60Hz – especially useful in the case of a traffic signal-related video. In addition to recording HD video, the ND-DVR100 can capture still images, allowing the driver to detach the camera and take detailed photos from outside the vehicle in the event of an accident. The ND-DVR100 can also display and record the time and GPS position (longitude a) using its built-in GPS receiver.
