The Focal Performance PS 165F component speaker system from Focal blends these revolutionary flax 6-1/2″ woofers with the company’s acclaimed inverted dome tweeters and flexible crossovers.
The inverted dome tweeters work similarly to small woofers, dispersing high frequencies in a large pattern to produce an unusually natural soundstage. To clarify the tweeters may be surface-mounted by Focal or flush-mounted for a more discrete appearance in your vehicle.

Focal is constantly on the lookout for materials that will enable them to manufacture some of the most accurate speakers on the market.
This time, Focal discovered that flax fibers aid in the creation of a very rigid, lightweight cone for their speakers. The hollow flax fibers are spun and sandwiched between thin glass membranes with half the weight of fiberglass. Overall this vibrant and precise speaker, mounted to a robust aluminum basket, resists unwelcome vibrations.

Delivering the Sound

Focal’s crossovers help to establish accessible and natural imaging for your songs. The PS 165F crossovers feature tweeter level changes, allowing you to fine-tune the highs and lows for a dynamic stereo picture in your vehicle. High-quality components instead ensure a seamless transition between the tweeter and woofer, excluding “hot spots” and dropouts from your music. This part system can without a doubt support up to 70 watts RMS, allowing you to add an amplifier to increase the dynamic range of the speakers.
