About the Focal Nº 6
Focal in speaker design aims to achieve supreme fidelity in sound reproduction so that your music moves straight to your heart without any coloration or interruption. Utopia Be component systems exemplify Focal’s commitment to excellence, delivering success that truly centers your mind on the source of your pleasure: the players, their instruments, and the art of the music.
Focal Nº 6 Beryllium Tweeters
The Utopia Be speaker system is operated by an inverted dome tweeter made of pure Beryllium foil. Beryllium, which is lighter and stiffer than titanium or aluminum, gives this tweeter a precise and crisp high-frequency response with a smoothness more akin to silk than metal. This dome reproduces frequencies well outside the range of human ears, providing minute musical nuances and overtones that make music sound convincingly authentic.
Hand-Made Focal Nº 6 Woofer Cones
The Utopia Be 6-1/2″ woofer from Focal features a 3-layer cone made of a foam core laminated on all sides with thin sheets of glass cloth. Focal also adjusts the foam core thickness to ensure that the woofer’s playback is absolutely accurate over the entire sonic range.
