The Focal ES 165KX2 Power Series part set. Handcrafted in France, is the pinnacle of Focal’s passion for markedly flawless sound. Their excellent standards, and technical advancements.
Focal’s sound engineers spent hours listening to music in order to create speakers with uncanny realism. This 2-ohm system draws full power from your battery. Altogether giving you more punch from your system, while the 1-1/8″ tweeters provide extended high-frequency output.

Newly Designed Car Woofer

To replicate the audio with amazing precision, the 6-1/2″ woofer employs Focal’s classic “W” sandwich cone style.
The nimble Kevlar and glass-fiber woofers exhibit the control required to perform delicate classical passages. Meanwhile still handling the strength required to propel your bass-heavy tracks authoritatively. Focal incorporates a new Tuned Mass Damper (TMD®) rubber surround that reduces harmonic distortion for the cleanest midrange possible. For similarly expanded frequency response, Focal incorporates an aluminum phase plug into the woofer.

Fresh New Car Tweeter

The ES 165KX2 features a one-of-a-kind 1-1/8″ aramid fiber tweeter with an “M”-shaped inverted dome configuration. Explicitly dispersing high frequencies with extraordinary accuracy up to 22,000 Hz.
The K2 Power crossovers use hand-made Focal components to produce an ideal blend of highs and lows. Of course, three degrees of tweeter control enable you to tailor the sound to the atmosphere of your vehicle.

NEW “M”-SHAPED TWEETER FOR A SMOOTH HIGH END

The new K2 Power TKM tweeter features an exclusive “M”-shaped structure. This new-generation aramid-fiber inverted dome tweeter provides great precision in the very high end. In combination with a “push-pull” motor with IAL2 technology extends the low end of the frequency response.

RICH AND IMPACTFUL SOUND!

The ES 165 KX2 component kit is composed of two 6½” (165 mm) woofers with Kevlar^® cones. The center of the cone is equipped with a phase plug for improved sound dispersion around the vehicle.

The two ‘M’-shaped aramid-fibre TKMX inverted dome tweeters are equipped with bi-amplified crossovers.  On the positive side, this enables perfect control over the high-end while providing a very smooth treble with perfect definition.

Thanks to its excellent power handling, this kit is the reference product of the K2 Power range. It undeniably won over the hearts of the experts when it was officially revealed at the CES in Las Vegas. Focal received the CES Innovation 2016 award.

The kit is basically supplied with aluminum and mesh grilles.
