Wireless or wired, the choice is yours
The AVIC-W6400NEX supports a cable-free connection between your smartphone and the receiver using Wi-Fi® wireless connectivity. Now compatible with Apple CarPlay and supporting connecting to an iPhone® device using either a wireless connection or a wired USB connection. Apple CarPlay is the smarter, safer, and more fun way to use an iPhone in the car.
Wi-Fi Certified Miracast™ provides additional wireless connectivity, enabling seamless display of multimedia content between compatible devices and the Pioneer receiver1. More information is available at www.wi-fi.org/discover-wi-fi/miracast.

Apple CarPlay
The AVIC-W6400NEX features Apple CarPlay, the smarter, safer, and more fun way to use your iPhone® in the car. Apple CarPlay gives iPhone users an incredibly intuitive way to make calls, use Maps, listen to music, and verbally send and listen to messages with just a word or a touch. Apple CarPlay requires an iPhone 5 or newer with the latest version of iOS.

Dual Back Up Camera Input Ready*
Dual Back up Camera inputs enable you to add a reverse (rear-facing) camera and a front-facing camera that can assist with front and rear visibility, towing, or parking.
*Rear visibility systems (backup cameras) are required under federal regulations in certain new vehicles according to a phase-in schedule that began on May 1, 2016. Owners of vehicles equipped with compliant rear visibility systems should not install or use this product in a way that alters or disables that system’s compliance with applicable regulations. If you are unsure whether your vehicle has a rear visibility system subject to these regulations, please contact the vehicle manufacturer or dealer.

In addition to the latest mapping and turn-by-turn directions to a large database of Points-of-Interest, things like restaurants, gas stations, and ATMs. Pioneer’s built-in navigation models offer detailed, reliable traffic and route guidance information to help you get where you want to go.
The Connected Car
With AppRadio Mode +, Pioneer has taken the technology from our revolutionary, game-changing AppRadio and placed it in the AVIC-W6400NEX so you can experience control of compatible apps directly on your dash! When connected to an iPhone 5 or newer, or compatible Android smartphone via USB interface cable and loaded with Pioneer’s free AppRadio application, you can enjoy full on-screen access and control of your contacts, calendar, maps, and more! The intuitive interface is formatted and designed specifically for the safer in-vehicle operation.
AppRadioLIVE
AppRadioLIVE simplifies your drive by combining the information you need during your commute into a single, simple-to-use interface. It’s YOUR digital lifestyle connected. Offering quick and easy access to personalized information including Maps, Media, News, and Calendar.
AppRadioLIVE pulls content from sources and services with which you may already have accounts with. All you have to do is download the free AppRadioLIVE app and sync your services. All your information saved on those accounts will be pulled into the AppRadioLIVE interface.
Hands-Free Calling and Audio Streaming
Stay safe and obey local hands-free laws with built-in Bluetooth (HFP). Easily pair a Bluetooth-enabled phone to the AVIC- W6400NEX without having to go through complicated settings. When a registered Bluetooth device is near the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.
From wireless audio streaming (A2DP profile), hands-free calling, and simple pairing, to audio control and artist, album, and song search (AVRCP profile*), Bluetooth® wireless technology has made life
in the vehicle much more convenient. The AVIC-W6400NEX features Bluetooth Hands-Free Profile 1.6 including Wideband Speech capability, which improves the sound quality of phone calls by offering double the frequency bandwidth (when compared to calls without Wideband Speech)**.
