Pioneer’s AVH-521EX DVD receiver goes above and beyond the norm with a customizable home screen that you can control. Use the receiver’s interface to add your favorite sources to the home screen, where they’re only a tap away. You can also fine-tune the look by selecting one of five still images or two video backgrounds, as well as a slew of display and control colors. And, with the help of Pioneer’s WebLink app, you can bring popular apps like navigation and weather to your phone’s screen.

Bluetooth adds a whole new level of wireless convenience to my drives, such as hands-free calling and easy wireless access to my smartphone’s media. And, as an IOS user, I appreciate that the AVH-521EX supports Siri Eyes Free while driving. I can listen to and send text messages, make calls, and ask questions by pressing a button without taking my eyes off the road.

You’ll get a better view in crowded parking lots or when backing out of your garage if you add a rear-view camera. You can even get parking guidelines that curve with the motion of your steering wheel with certain rear-view cameras.
