Elite K2 Power Series 6-1/2″ 3-Way Component Speaker System

The Focal ES 165KX3 is a very complete kit offering remarkably extensive frequency response (45 Hz – 22 kHz). Its main advantages are the excellent power handling and the very realistic soundstage.
Composed of two 6½” (165 mm) woofers and two 3″ (80 mm) mid-range speaker drivers with Kevlar^® cones, it offers a very rich and dynamic mid-range and very low-frequency response (45 Hz). The two bi-amped ‘M’-shaped tweeters guarantee a precise high end with perfect definition.

This kit is composed of two 6,5” woofers and two 3” speakers.

The ES 165 KX3 is supplied with aluminum and mesh grilles.

The nimble Kevlar and glass-fiber woofers exhibit the control required to perform delicate classical passages while still handling the strength required to propel your bass-heavy tracks authoritatively. Focal incorporates a new Tuned Mass Damper (TMD®) rubber surround that reduces harmonic distortion for the cleanest midrange possible. The ES 165KX3 features a one-of-a-kind 1-1/8″ aramid fiber tweeter. “M”-shaped inverted dome configuration that disperses high frequencies up to 22,000 Hz.

The new K2 Power TKM tweeter features an exclusive “M”-shaped structure. This new-generation aramid-fiber inverted dome tweeter provides great precision in the very high end. This in combination with a “push-pull” motor. IAL2 technology extends the low end of the frequency response and provides extraordinary harmonic balance.

KEVLAR® CONE PRECISION AND DYNAMICS

The speaker drivers used for the K2 Power have been completely redesigned. Each component is the result of extensive research in acoustics to push back the limits of performance. The power, and of precision! The K2 Power Kevlar® cone, a product of unique expertise Made In Focal, is to this day second to none. Composed of an ultra-light foam structure sandwiched between a thin layer of Kevlar® aramid fibers, and a layer of glass fibers, the K2 Power cone combines three key factors of quality acoustics:
